Siamese Asset and BIM, a New Construction Method
Today, Building Information Modeling (BIM), a process of simulating construction and managing construction in the form of digital data, is similar to creating a 3D model with data embedded in the model. It is becoming popular abroad, in America, Europe, Australia, Korea, Singapore and Japan, and is now starting to be used in Thailand, as many organisations, especially in the real estate (condominium) sector, recognise the benefits of BIM for every party involved in the construction industry, especially the Designer, the General contractor and the Owner, in increasing work efficiency, reducing waste, and better controlling budget, time and quality, in line with the Thailand 4.0 policy. In the near future, the BIM process will become the construction standard, replacing CAD both internationally and in Thailand. Organisations that do not adapt may lose their business competitiveness, and the sooner an organisation can switch to the BIM process, the sooner it is likely to gain a business advantage.
