Measures for Care and Prevention of Labor Camps, Siamese Asset Public Company Limited

As the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) resolved to close construction labor camps and restrict travel and labor movement in dark red zone provinces, including Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, and Nakhon Pathom, for a period of 1 month starting June 28, 2021, to control the spread of COVID-19 in labor camp clusters, workers lost income due to the inability to work during that time.
Siamese Asset Public Company Limited, as a developer with a number of contractors' workers living in camps, urgently took action to care for them without discrimination. This began with providing basic necessities, including food and housing, as well as conducting COVID-19 testing in labor camps and communicating timely information to workers to prevent instances of workers fleeing the camps, which could affect external communities. The company also arranged vaccines for workers and established measures for epidemic control to handle the situation. The company's operations were divided into two parts:
                     1. Labor Camp Section: Provided assistance with three meals every day, publicized and educated workers on self-care and prevention from the epidemic using signs in three languages, and communicated through camp leaders and foreman groups. Distributed surgical masks and alcohol to all workers. Prepared isolation areas for high-risk and infected individuals from the group of workers. Managed internal areas like bathrooms proportionately and with distancing to reduce potential risks.
                     2. Construction Site Section: Conducted spraying and cleaning in the construction areas every week, planned entry into the site with staggered times, and divided worker groups to reduce overcrowding. Prepared surgical masks and alcohol for all staff and workers.
Although construction projects have temporarily stopped, Siamese Asset Public Company Limited will continue to care for and assist all employees and workers fully so that we can get through this crisis together.
