This collaboration reflects the shared recognition of the intensifying global climate change crisis, which affects the quality of life and societal well-being while posing challenges to various aspects of security. The construction industry, as a key driver of economic development, requires significant natural resources and energy throughout its operational cycle and generates a substantial amount of waste.

This presents an important opportunity to establish policies and strategies for efficient waste management, reducing waste generation, and repurposing waste into higher-value products for reuse. This approach promotes the efficient use of resources, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and, importantly, lowers costs while enhancing competitiveness in the low-carbon economy both domestically and internationally.

  1. To develop new knowledge, products, and best practices that serve as models and guidelines for applications in commercial, academic, and social contexts.
